2018 Arai's

Couple of nice Arai's now on the market

Yeah, saw them yesterday. Came up on a banner from Sportsbikeshop. So I ferociously clicked away, drooled over the Honda helmet, inspired by HRC colours of course, and then I looked at the price. Even my easy-opening wallet couldn't handle it. Plus, like the Arai HRC/Pedrosa etc helmets, it's highly unlikely we'll see any reduction.

 

Theyve gone up in price since i got mine. Id quite like the nicky hayden one.

 

Very nice Lozzy like the HRC colour scheme, maybe later in the year I will be looking for a match for the HRC blade ☺.
I'm sure if a helmet manufacturer was to produce Repsol liveried helmet in would sell extremely well I believe some limited edition ones have been produced but only in small quantities.

 

I waited for the Black Friday Sale last year and bagged my HRC RX7 for £519 delivered from sports bike shop.
Still haven’t worn it yet. Still got my trusty Chaser V on the go.

 

I quite like the Randy Mamola ones, but some of the pictures appear to show RANDY written on the back in quite large letters - which is a bit weird !

I love my Nicky Hayden one, although sometimes feel a bit self concious wearing the full Stars and Stripes !

I've always worn Arai up until recently, but I just can't see how they can justify these prices in the market place these days.

 

These new x spirit3 are real nice too. It's favourite for my new lid.
I love the arai paint schemes but always end up breaking bits off the fiddly visor changing system. My shoeis have always born the brunt of high mileage wearing better than the arias.
I tried the yellow one on last week, nice & light & the colours looks well in the flesh.
I know they're all getting expensive but I guess over 5 yrs it's about 40+p a day, which is nowt really.
I mean what else can you get for that these days.....since the penny mix trays disappeared

 

An equivalent lid from a decent manufacturer for a 3rd of the price that doesn't live off an old reputation??

 

Yep...admittedly I like some of the agv's & the xlites. But always end up coming back as my bonce loves the shoei's which is a perfect fit for me

 

I get even BETTER value by wearing mine to bed!

 

A gentleman's helmet should always be upon his person.

 

Good job these are 0 VAT, otherwise they'd be expensive.

I love the 2018 Nicky Hayden rep.
But Arais are a bit to steep for my pocket these days. I'll need to stick with my Edwards Seal replica for now. Wait for Black Friday or next years bike show.
