Do any of you guys do Croft, it's my local track. Theres a few of us who hire bikes, (its cheaper) would be good to catch up with some of you guys.
No idea mate i just go down to mess about and get it out of my system! Who do you rent from? Is it the smallboy bikes? Always been worried about binning the blade there, seen some strange accidents at croft.
Yeah Smallboys, if 5 of us rent it costs about £340 all in, £200 small off max £500 big off. really good lads, well looked after bikes well turned out, them little 600's can hold there own at the front of the fast class at Croft. for that price its now worth risking the blade.
Thats decent. Always thought it would be more expensive than that. By the time you have done a set of tyres on your own bike + track fee your not far off that price for risking your own bike.
And the fuel is included, you can use a few tanks of fuel on a blade, the bikes are in the garages, with tyre warmers on and the bikes have been warmed up ready for your session, after the session one of he lads takes the bike off you and sorts it all out ready for the next session, awesome service.
I keep saying that Croft is on my Too Do list, but then I realise that it's not exactly up the road from me, although I did ride out there once and the paddock area looked almost exactly like Snetterton. It's probably no further than Snetterton from me either, so I really should add it to the list for this year.
Just to add to that, if either of you book Croft this year then put a post up with the date and group, then I'll see if I can get on.
I've not done Croft before, but will be at the end of the month - I'm booked on the Jamie Whitham Trackday on Monday 26th. I'm going to be slow as fook (nowt new) – I only got the Blade at the end of last year after a few years on Sports/Tourer and Adventure bikes, and with this weather I've hardly got my sportsbike mojo back and overcome the aches and pains. Wish me luck.
I done a james whitham day there last year. Was great as there were far fewer people on track than your average no limits day. Plus you get the chance to see the pro's mess about on their bikes, hints and tips etc. I had Dan Linfoot tell me im am exceptionally smooth rider, told him it never feels like that from where im sitting
I've previously done a day at Teesside and Angelsey with them, a few years ago now mind. As you say much quieter on track and the feedback was great. Looking forward to it, other than me being a rusty old knacker
Its the left before the hairpin that catches me out! Always take it too fast and end up taking the next right scraping my toes/peg.
Apparently they used the wrong tarmac on teesside, they used very hard motorway grade, very good for the drifters tho.
Im booked for the 26/27th of April. Its bumpy in certain areas, but the more laps you do, you realise it develops your rider skills.
