Well, ahem, there are many who like 'black and long'. I suppose I'l be wondering if Lozzy and Bradt follow this thread.:D

Now where was I? Yeah, I've been looking at Black Dog. 29.90 each side. Review well, but some are a bit loose on the fitting, i.e. the bush seems a tad big so there's too much free play. I guess that might be part of the difference between those and the well-regarded ASVs!

Haha I knew someone would pick up on that.....might of known it'd be you Nige!!

When they arrive and I've fitted them I'll let you know what they're like. I can live with little play as long as they're not hanging off! ;)

So what colour have you bought?
Ive had the asv shorties before & theyre great. But on this bike I've got long clutch & short brake which help's the strain on your clutch hand massively if you're doing a lot of urban riding.

Interesting, but makes complete sense. I don't think my OCD would allow me to have 'uneven' levers.:(

I prefer the functionality of standard levers, but haven't actually tried short. My interest in the black ones is more for aesthetics than anything else. Perhaps I'm weirder than I thought.

Lozzy.....got some black levers with red adjusters. I get what your saying about the extra length on the clutch lever, it definitely helps. But I also prefer a long brake lever too, just feels more natural for me to use four fingers for braking rather than two......I'm kind of like Valentino in that respect :D

ah......but I have saved some weight by removing the massive Honda Racing hugger and the wing mirrors will be coming off for my track day too! I probably wont get the rad guard to be honest, its something that I worry about......you know, flying stones an shit but I've never had one before!

NBB, I like that garage flooring. Is it easy to lay? I am a bit of a DIY biff.

I think they're a wise investment, especially for road use. I have an R & G (plain black) on mine, which the previous owner had installed. Having said that, though, there are a couple of dodgy roads around my way - thereby justifying its use.
