Need to mount my number plate to my track fairings for 'daytime' MOT. Please show me how you managed yours. So far I've only been able to find one chap on here who had CRC make him a new undertray but this route doesn't really suit me.
    Thanks

On mine the previous owner had just pop riveted a little aluminium bracket on the underside of the seat unit and attached the number plate to it.

It's a one piece seat/tail unit. Not the most elegant, you could probably make something out of carbon fibre if you wanted it to look a bit bling :)

You won't need numberplate light if going for 'daytime' MOT.

I’ve made a couple of hangers out of aluminium over the years. From intricate parts to plain old angle aluminium with a few holes in. If access allows use bolts with nyloc nuts if not pop rivets

I'd rather not rivet as I'd like to be able to remove all traces of the plate for track.
It's an 08 model. I was perhaps hoping to see something nice and straight forward but after having a look last night I think it's just ging to be a case of drilling the GRP tail unit and making some brackets.
    Cheers

How about something that attaches to the hugger?

I looked at the hugger idea but unless I stand the bracket quite far off it, a standard sized number plate is too big. I think the big will be attract enough attention from the old bill as it is, without having a smaller plate.

I spent an hour fabbing up some brackets over the weekend. I think I have it sussed now. It certainly won't be pretty but I'm not so bothered about it. Scott, if you have a picture of the bracket that would be good to see.
