Im considering a blackrear sprocket, cant find a decent one for the 08> only crappy steel painted ones. Anyone be able to point me in the right direction, still not sure if I like the idea I might just get a renthal stainless coloured one instead!!!
Hard anodised black renthal??? Please elaborate mega lol I'm lacking with anodising knowledge? I quite like the look of the standard Kawasaki sprocket? If I get it anodised will it not just cone off? Cheers for the thoughts t Meg
Well my Renthal is hard anodised Gold, so I assume that they sell a black one? If they don't, you could ask for a non anodised one and get it anodised yerself. Ask ColinBR for the number of the guys that did our chainguards. Not sure of the difference between anodised and hard anodised though? Should be plenty of anodisers in the phonebook? Just checked the Renthal Europe site. They don't list a hard anodised black rear sprocket, just an ultra lightweight in BLACK. More, faster wear though. If I were you and you want an alloy rear, I'd buy a hard anodised rear sprocket and paint it satin black. Dunno how well paint sticks to anodising, but you can't anodise on top of anodising, so you would have to strip off the gold colour with oven cleaner!!!
We can get Talon ones, they can be coated in any colour of anodise you wish by the factory. Do quite a lot in black and also some BLUE for customers. Have some instock, if you wanted a photo. No stock of black for Blade's at the minute tho. We can certainly get one done, around a 3-4 week lead time tho.
I recon if they ain't hard anodised being on a sprocket it'd just come off, I'll have an ask though mega, cheers!
These are nice as well Benn HONDA CBR1000RR FIREBLADE SUPERSPROX 42T REAR SPROCKET | eBay Can you post some pix please Jonny?
Yes mate I know a few here with Driven powerup kits.. Dont know how much shipping though, add 20% VAT and 3% tax.. Just checked mate it says contact for international price shipping with FedEx.
Cost $76, Dunno about postage from USA? Do you know the difference in longevity between the hard anodised and ultralight Renthal sprockets?
Ooooh Arthur what u done lol, Jonny thank you to I have s talon on the gix, Mega I love the supersprox but you hardly save any weight with them as the teeth are still steel
Well go for a Renthal Ultralight then, but be prepared for lower mileage. One advantage with an alloy rear sprocket is less wear on your chain!
Nothing wrong with Talon like you say, I run them on a number of bikes as well as my blade mounted with OZ wheels.
