hi just wondered how these are removed as there different to the 13 blade , any help would be grateful .
remove right side pegs, remove the bolt on the right side of the tray, drop the servo motor by pulling that catch that hold on by the bolt. cables off re install 20mins job dont even need to take the seat off
exhaust now been removed , but was just wondering about the servo with no cable tension , will the servo keep spinning with no cables as I don't want to burn the motor out , so has any body just done this and is it ok , thanks.
What exhaust did you decide on, Keith? I recall you looking at Racefit etc, but I might have missed the final decision.
Mine is ticking even with the cables installed. As icedmind suggests, I suspect there isn't enough tension in the cable because if I pull on the cable the ticking stops. It would seem logical that with no cables at all the motor would keep seeking. I've ordered a Healtech servo eliminator to go with my Scorpion Serket Taper exhaust. An ecu flash could turn off the servo motor too, apparently.
Ah, if you guys could see me now. Laying back, arms behind my head, smiling at my standard exhaust with no problems.
Lucky you. I haven't fitted the Scorpion slip-on yet, the standard exhaust is still on the bike and I still have problems with the servo motor.
Oh, sorry. I didn't note the problem existed pre new exhaust. These wizz-bang electronics sure make the bikes temperamental, and it seems from many postings that a lot of the problems are way beyond the 'average' owners range of skills. Once upon a time, we'd plonk on a megaphone and increase the jet size 10% - job done!!
