I've got a Halford's tyre inflator as shown but due to not having 4 wheels at the moment I've nothing to plug it into!
Has anyone bought one of the converter plug type adapters that you can plug it into via the mains?
I seem to think that a lot of them like the one I've pictured aren't suitable as they don't have enough volts or something?!? You can probably tell I haven't a clue what I'm on about here lol so just need someone to point me in the direction of something that's fairly cheap that will do the job :D
    Cheers...

Yep I've tried it and it was as bad as you'd think. It starts running and then as the tyre pressure increases it runs out of oomph and dies.

What I did occasionally was to use a car battery charger. Negative bull clip on the outside pin of the cigarette lighter plug and the positive on the little pushpin.

What he said as you'll not get enough power out of one of those adaptors.
You're better off powering it from the bike battery.

Yes but then I'd need something to attach the clamps to, which I haven't got

I was thinking you'd connect it to the battery on your bike.

Do you have an optimate lead on the bike? Just fit a suitably rated fuse for the pump and and plug a fag lighter socket into it.

I think biting the bullet and just buying a plug in one would be far less hassle. Fairly sure I've seen the same one on eBay for less.

I've just got a push pull pump in the shed for my bike tyres, does the job. Think it was from Halfords if I remember right, one of them you stand on the base like a dynamite plunger. Then just a pressure stick
