    Hi Guys, so the new bike still hasn’t turned a wheel due the weather not playing ball yet although it has given me chance to fit the ventureshield kit........... I have been looking into aftermarket exhausts though and I was after some advice from anyone who has changed theirs. I have been told once you lose the valve and put a shorter can on it ruins the fuelling? I like the look of the long akrapovic, the Yoshimura alpha and the graves Carbon end cans but can’t decide. Anyone fitted any of the above or have disconnected the valve and how do you find the bike runs???

    Not touching my 2018, but @Keith1748 has fitted a Yoshi Alpha to his. Perhaps PM him for further info.

    If you're looking to change the exhaust then it's worth investing in an ECU remap or Power Commander (PCV) + remap.
    This will add power to your over stock and make sure everything is breathing and fueling perfectly for your bike right across your rev range.

    For example (my exhaust/mapping experience) : https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/pcv-map-dyno-charts-and-suspension-setup.10182

    The stock airfilter is pretty good, but worth looking at a K&N filter too. Slightly better airflow and it's reusable, so you only need to buy it once :)

    I agree with Callumw,

    Definitly worth investing in a good air filter and remap.

    I went with the MWR High efficiency filter and woolich race tools for the mapping.

    Here's what we got out of mine;

    I've been looking since I got my sp in October, at the minute I'm down to the arrow or the akra MotoGP. Has anyone fitted the akra?

    Nice. Much more subtle. Quite possible that the track bikes can't get away with the smaller cans unless they're packed chock full of wadding!

    You knocking up many miles on the SP?

    I can get it on 0% tick as well

    It’s not turned a wheel yet, I bought it just after a shoulder operation so hoping to get out over the next week

    I went for a Scorpion Serket Taper in carbon. It ties in well with the Matt Black colour way, I think.

    No infill panel required, it just replaces the existing exhaust and exits from the same place in the belly pan.
