Fitted my new boots on the road bike today. I've not tried these ones before but wanted something that warms up quickly, so I'll try them out for this evenings Sportsbikeshop bike night.
Nice one ....I love them they're great. And they're even greater at 36 36ish although I know pressures are a personal thing. Report back on the bike night, I fancy a ride over once the evenings have drawn out a bit more as can't see bugger all in the dark anymore
Great day today. Went for a blast on my 'sacrifice' bike - home to Worcester for coffee along a good 'A' road. Oh, 'sacrifice' you ask? Yes, my 2011 is the bike that sacrifices itself for my others. It takes on all the miles whilst the others sit at home and look pretty - sort of like a trophy wife I once had.
Fear not. You'll retire one day. I make the most of my time. I don't do Bingo Parlours, Lawn Bowls, Pensioners' Tea and Bikkie mornings or sit in front of the TV watching 'Loose Women'. However, I do go to my local Tesco, and hang around Aisle 7 gloating over Mr Sheen, Brasso, Microfibre cloths . . . ah, gotta go, my glasses are steaming up
You need to have a look at a company called autobright direct or detailing world. Thank me or curse me later lol
I feel for you...... I've been stuck all day too..... in the garden, lay on my back watching the bumble bees & contemplating the best twisty route down to Matlock shortly for ice cream... It's hell this retirement malarkey
MOT booked in for today, spent lastnight bleeding the new brakes, belly pan fettling and a few other jobs. Wheeled it out this morning, started straight away and all seemed good. Rode the long way round the coast to the petrol station to help charge the battery a bit. Fueled up, paid, back on the bike and the battery is dead as a dodo. Had to leave my helmet etc at the petrol station and push the thing home, just over a mile, uphill, in the blazing sun! Took this pic half way as I was cooked.
Nige and tuktuk, I see you both have the carbon Honda racing hugger on your blades. What’s your verdict? I think they look fantastic. That red one you can see in my avatar photo is starting to get on my tits.
Ah, well picked up. I had the blue Honda OEM before picking up a carbon from @dansp1 on here a couple of months ago. My reason for changing over was that the blue looked too much - too 'out there' whereas the carbon is more subtle and looks classier. Both fultill the same function and look better (in my view) than the standard tiny one. Mine is purely for aesthetics only as it rarely sees a wet road! @PauloHRC recently bought a short carbon that looks really good. Not sure from where he bought it though. He may not be on here for a while because he's fitting his new matte black fairings
I've got one to sell... Just created the thread here https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/hrc-carbon-hugger.35125/
Brakes felt sharp! Ive changed so much over winter I had to take it easy to monitor what might fall off lol. Ive got a proboem with the bleed nipples, both are leaking... had them out and cleaned up etc and re bled the brakes but still the same. Might replace them with Ti ones but shouldnt really need to! Hugger for me was just the fact the oem one was so small, back end of bike can end up caked in shite. Had a profiber GP one before this which blended to the bike better. The honda one looks well and suits the bike but where it mounts looks like its just been plonked on? Ive got a lithium battery ready to go i the bike, wish id put it on now! Thought I was being sensible leaving it for a while before changing over. Legs are still throbbing lol.
