Ive got a proboem with the bleed nipples, both are leaking... had them out and cleaned up etc and re bled the brakes but still the same. Might replace them with Ti ones but shouldnt really need to I changed mine to titanium mate and the old ones had the thin white plumbing tape around them when I took them out, Maybe worth a try?
Fitted a Kriega fitting kit from a Ducati 959/1299 which fits the Blade nicely. Better than trying to thread straps around the subframe. Test fitted my US20 & US10 ready for a road trip round the Isle of Man. I have a US30 too, but it's huuuuge...
No pics - BIG red X through them. I think the file size is too big. Open the pic with 'paint' and reduce by 50 %.
It all begins tomorrow, starting with the seat unit so I can fit my hooks while I'm there. Then I'm going to fit the front mudguard. ......you can see where I'm going with this, all the easy stuff first! Then the tank cover, then the bit I'm really looking forward too......fairings and nose cone!! Got to say though I'm really impressed with the kit, hope it all fits together as well as it looks! Everything is included, infill panels etc....even got a screen and it's a double bubble!!! Will update with pics as I go......providing I haven't smashed the shit out of it all in frustration!
As you may know I fitted a set of these a few weeks ago and while I've only had a few rides on them so far.....they've felt really nice, plenty of confidence in them in the dry and got caught out in rain and still felt ok. Went for the 55 profile rear with mine after a lot of good feedback from others on here......chicken strips are a lot harder to get rid of though! Got 2 inch one's at the moment! Soon get rid of them though in a few weeks at Oulton park!!
Failed MOT, back brake weak... knew as soon as I set off to have it tested it would be pulled up. Quickly adjusted and passed
Fitted new tyres on my old 97 blade and gave her a quick blast . It seemed so light and flickable, first time its had a run for ages , had a big smile on me
Starting to look like a different bike already, actually enjoyed getting to know my bike a bit better today. Really surprised at the quality and the fit of what I've put on so far, no drilling needed or manipulation to make the holes line up! Just the fairings to go but that'll have to be another day!
Looks good, but why does R & G have to plaster its logo over everything. I know it's marketing, etc, but it really is over the top. Just sayin'.
Coming up good, Paul. Just for reference (one never knows if a set of Castrols might fall into their hands) how long have you spent on it so far - and please deduct the hour for lining up the HRC logo on the tail.
