Can't help you, I'm sorry. I had the dealer fit it before collection. On having a close look though, if the bike were on a scissor lift or similar, I think there'd be enough room, albeit tight, to get at the fixing points.
Looks great, Ratser. Most thoughtful of you to collect it on your wife's behalf! I was just looking at a matt black (interest only) at my local dealer yesterday. They certainly are more subtle than the SP colours, and perhaps will not date with time. Great move with the tail tidy - essential I reckon. I guess you're aware that @dainesefreak has the same bike?
Yeh I seen that he had one too. I managed to get them to throw in the tail tidy and fit it for free. Wife doesn't like riding bikes away from showrooms, so I even scrubbed her tyres in for her too. I agree re the colour. I have yet to see one on the road. Seen a couple of SP's tho.

Yeh as I settled into it, tyres scrubbed in, and became more confident it got better with every corner. Fires right into them. Still wouldn't have traded my 2013 one for it tho. I'll have a look for that stuff, thanks.

So I had an issue on Saturday and was wondering if anyone with the new blade had the same issue. Stopped for a pic opportunity and put side stand down, cuts off engine, switch ignition off. 2 minutes later I flip the stand up turn on ignition and press start while holding in the clutch, and nothing. Now I started the bike this way after leaving the Honda dealers as well, with no issues, although I was stopped for a bit longer. So put it in neutral and tried again, nothing. Put stand back down, flicked into first then out to neutral again and after a splutter it started ok. Now the wife had said previously that she couldn't start it with clutch held in, but having done that then it not working it seems temperamental. Anyone had this ? It is going for a service at the end of the month so will ask the guys to look at it for any issues anyway.
I haven't had similar prob, but, like yours, has very few miles. I wonder if a piece of grit/crap might have got into the sidestand sensor? As you know, whilst under warranty we're best to not touch a damn thing - just in case.
In the past week the blade has been returned to Honda as they fix the small valve within the exhaust which was jammed closed therefore reducing power. Talking to the top after sales Honda chap at Knockhill at the weekend, he has never known this to happen. Wife has a loan of their demo blade for now, still trying to negotiate an Akrapovic end can as compensation. Not looking likely tho. Even tried to get one from Havier Beltran at the weekend as well, as the Honda dealership gave us some VIP hospitality tickets for Saturday. Wasn't happening either. Should be fixed this week though. As it was had a mega conversation with Havier about how they build the bikes & engines to suit the tracks. Absolutely mind blowing, over my head technically, but very very interesting. Sorry to hear about the exhaust prob. Never seen it come up on this forum. Agree it would have been interesting to learn of Honda's race preparation. You know I am one-sided Honda, but I hardly feel they're getting the results they deserve. Both Linfoot and O'Halloran are stuggling on the BSB scene, Camier is a regular 8th to 10th WSB place, and Gagne should be sacked.
Yeh, just a very unusual fault that Honda hadn't even had before, but am sure she will get it back this week anyway. She will just have to slum it on the slower red one. I think they have made big improvements on the roads this year (Conor especially, Lee Johnston), and will improve on track too. Doesn't help with the riders being injured and taken out by others. Interesting that they were watching how the Ducati went into the chicane at Knockhill, taking a slightly wider line than others to maintain the speed. The instruction was to drop the speed, get thru the corner and back up as soon as to get the drive rather than actually riding the corner. Was eye opening, and Hav could sit and talk about it for hours. Haven't seen any of Camier or others. Still think there is plenty of development needed & ongoing, and it's where I think they will miss McGuinness as well. Was interesting also to note that at Knockhill, they were set up to take the hairpin in 2nd, while all others were dropping to 1st.

Ask to Spk with a guy called spider, he’s dan Linfoots chief mechanic and will tell you anything you want to know about those bikes, very good mate of mine and been in the bsb paddocks for years, I remember going up to Sanyo Honda Britain when he worked there back in the day.
