can a akra motogp end can be fitted with the headers?

Whats putting me off the full ego system (long end can) is on the SP you have to tap holes in the subframe for the bracket.

    Would this void warranty?

Don't they hang from a bracket fitted to the plugged pillion peg threads?

    Hi Nigel,

Well the SP doesn't have rear pegs and I seen another guy on Instagram having to tap 2 holes in the sub frame for the long end can.

My other problem with the long end can is that from the videos online it sounds very quiet and doesn't make any fun noises lol

    so still undecided.. o_O

    Hi Alan-lee.

I know the SP doesn't have pillion pegs, but SURELY you know the sub-frame is tapped for them and there are small grey blanking plates over the threads in the sub-frame. Most manufactures anchor from that position. My point is: why drill into the sub-frame when there is already a provision there?

Mymate fitted the lomg akra to his sp1 and had to drill/tap the subframe.

Akra didmt even supply the hanger with the full system, had to buy seperately lol.

The system I had in mind was the full system like this, which does hang from the redundant pillion peg threads.

You are right in that it is surely ridiculous that after having spent a fortune on a product, Akra would then charge for the hanging bracket. It seems no different than buying a pair of shoes and then being charged extra for the laces!!

I can see though, with the smaller end cans that a self-manufactured bracket of some type would have to be improvised. However, for the sake of neatness, if it were me, I would choose to use the existing threads.
