I'm going to be saying bye bye to the Repsol later in the year and I'll be looking for a 14 to 16 non abs Blade. None of the newer models colours really do anything for me but I absolutely love the older TT Legends scheme. I know Honda did some 12 plates in it but I obviously want a newer bike. After scouring the Web I think the only newer ones that may come on the market will be bikes that have been specially done by Spray Bay etc etc. The other option is I have one done by them myself if all else fails, which isn't a problem. ( I'm not interested in aftermarket fairings) So....if anyone sees or hears of 14+ non abs, low mileage one in this scheme, give me a shout.....
Good move, Lozzy. Great historical significance with those, AND, should you find one for sale you can be pretty much guaranteed that it'll be in top nick! Agree with you about the newer models' colours. The red/black is ordinary; the matte black is for a select core only (with respect to DF and Ratser's wife) whilst the SPs are a bit 'fairy floss'. Yamaha is much more subtle with their plain blue. Interesting that the 2 pics you posted are different. Are they both originals? I have no real knowledge of these; black Vs white wheels; front guard and sub-frame colours; and belly pan treatment to name a few.
The bottom one with black frame is true to the tt bike so I think that's one of the special paint scheme ones that dealers had in for 2012. Not sure where the silver framed one is from I presume someone's tricked & painted it up. I'll get a black framed one. I think I'll end up buying a standard blade & probably having to have the paint done myself and then I can put the extras on that I like. I wonder if it's easier for the sprayers to do a scheme over certain base oem colours?!? As in white bike v black?!? Never really looked into the process, I'll have to ring them Ooo I'm getting excited now I've made the decision, it's going to be a long summer of anticipation but on the upside, I can thrash to death what's left of Reppie before I hand her to the stealers
Black framed one is awesome, love that. The only thing I'd have different is to change the front mudguard for the blue one (as shown in the top pic). Great choice.
Yep I've just noticed that @CBRGav bike has the blue front...agree there. Carbon for ze rear yum yum....ahhh perks your life up doesn't it having to start afresh looking at mods
Lol if I could justify the cost of a new sp I'd love one. Unfortunately I'm a dry weather hobby rider so this is maximum I can spend on a bike unless Nigel wants swap for his sp and you can buy it from him
Hmm...well you could give him your SP.... Then he can give me the legends.... And I can give you the ALMIGHTY REPSOL Sorted.......everyone happy
Hey, hang on! I have no problem GIVING advice, but I'm certainly not going to take MY OWN. Edited to say: And who want to inherit ABS problems?
Experienced it in a car that was bad enough lol that's why I waned non abs on my bike. Never had it on previous bikes so shouldn't miss it. Dry weather aswell dare say I wouldn't notice the difference. Anyway back to subject lol the top bike with the silver frame was painted by bike paints who did mine
I'd swap it if I were you Nigel.... Gav's a lot younger & can probably handle the SP's torque a bit better..... Seems some motorist picked these up when they hit his windscreen after you went flying past them on it the other day! They're on Acacia Avenue just outside Stratford apparently if you want to collect them on your travels
Friggin' heck, Lozzy. I thought I did well with the Repsol tractor, but you've taken the cake bigtime. That is really well done. I would have phoned you with my thanks, but you wouldn't understand my 'gummy' speech.
