Went to work this morning on B roads. Missed every single apex, nearly hit 2 cars! All in the name of not riding in the shit left by farmers in the road. Took me yonks to clean my bike and Farmer Barleymow wasn’t going to fuck up my blade!!!

Sad I know. Didn’t enjoy the ride. At all. Angry face emoji!

I struck the same thing yesterday. I'm in a semi-rural area and strike a road where a farmer has properties on each side of an 'A' road. But the gates aren't exactly opposite each other, he has to drive about 200 metres along the road to the next gate, dropping soil, hay and all sorts of crap.

I'll show 'em. Think I'll stop eating fresh food!:)

    Wow, that's an expensive hit.

Excuse my 'old school' knowledge, but do they still 're-roll' rims or do you just buy new replacement?

Maybe it would re-roll?!? But he's getting another wheel. Good job tbh it was that & not the sports bike else it could have been an off

May I suggest you take a photo of the hole, report it to the council and if you wish claim the money for a replacement wheel... Several years ago I was cycling home at night along a local "A" road. I hit a pot hole; about half the depth of a "Dublin" sink and went straight over the bars... Took a photo the next morning, reported it and by the afternoon it was filled in!! Council settled...
