    Looks nice.
Why are you doing this? ..is it for track use or just fancy a change?

Spent about 4 hours today but I more or less stripped the whole back end down to give it a good clean as everywhere was caked in shite after getting caught in the rain last week with @Selmer50mark!

So probably about 2 hours in reality! I reckon another 4 hours for fairings and nose cone and headlight assembly! :)

I decided a while ago with my impending track day in a few weeks and at least 3 or 4 more this year, that I wanted to take some damage limitation measures, so first up was the GB racing covers. Then I thought they aren't going to protect my plastics so I opted for a complete fairing kit rather than crash bungs. I'm not expecting to bin it on track but with these modifications It won't be as bad if I do! Also I can still ride it on the road as normal as that is what I do mostly.

For £242 with free delivery and £23.75 customs charges when it reached the UK.........it was a no brainer! ;)

Damn right!! I thought they were around 350-plus; but I really only had a general scan.

The Castrols might become a reality rather than fantasy:). Thing is also, Paul, we are BOTH fortunate with our wheels. Yours will be magic with the gold wheels and Castrol will look good with white - even though black would be more authentic.

But what about the neighbours. They must already think I'm looney:(. They'll think it's ANOTHER bike.

I can just imagine their coffee mornings, pinky extended:

'Oh Jan. Do you know the guy down the road with the motorbikes?'

'No, Paula. But I see him take them inside. Who in their right mind would do such a thing. In a new house, too!'

'I don't know. I don't think there's a woman in his life - nor a man for that matter. You just don't know with some people, do you?

'Perhaps he's hit one of those mid-life crises, you know? Some call it male menopause; though I hardly think he's of age. He just looks so, erm, fit, the young ones say.'

'True Jan. Had similar thoughts myself, but I'd not be sharing a house with 4 motorbikes.'

'Four? I saw another one, red, green and white. Castrol or something sprawled all over it.'

'Think I'd steer clear if I were you. Must something going on in his head. Replacing relationships with possessions. Can't take them with him though, can he?'

They'd want to be good cleaners, however, I fear the clients couldn't care less about a few specks of dust.

And Lozzy, please assure me you just chanced falling across that advert;).

Installed front and rear sprocket with a 520 GXW RK chain and some purple titanium bolts. Very happy with the outcome :D

Most importantly is the battery has been on charge since it let me down a week ago. Hopefully I wont have a repeat! Got a lithium to go in but want to test the bike out first.

First proper ride of 2018 done! Bike felt good, definately needs custom mapping as full system map isnt very good low down. Feels very punchy though but probably because ive not been on it for 6+ months.

I felt like shite on it :D Stiff, couldnt hold a line, missing gears, generally poor riding lol. Need to get a few miles done and get back i to it.

Strange, isn't it? We hear of the old sayings: 'You never forget how to ride a horse (or a bicycle)'. However, when it comes to properly riding our bikes, it DOES seem to take a few rides to progress beyond the basics. But when we do hit those lines, it is like Pavarotti or celine Dion hitting a high!:)
