I have bought an Arrow GP-2 for my 2015 blade and watched youtube videos on how to remove the old one and fit the new one but they aren't that detailed, well not the ones i've seen so far.

The bit i'm stuck on is the servo cable under the rear seat. One video shows taking it off but none of them show putting it back after you have fitted the new can.

Can someone please help as the new can will be here soon and I don't want to get half way through and get stuck!

When I put my Racefit on I left the cable attached to the OEM Exhaust and bunged the lot in the shed.

You dont need it (as far as I know o_O)

It's the same as swapping over a clutch cable, in as much as the end of the cable has that nipply cylinder thing on it that you have to unhook and then feed the cable through the slot; bit difficult to describe but I dont think you'll have any probs it's very straightforward.

Yeah, but don't the Racefits etc, just have the Oz sensor bung hole? I suspect the Arrows might be the same; certainly my Yoshi is.

In that case, it's just a matter of removing the O2 sensor from the standard system and screwing into new one. (There are O2 sensor deletes on eBay, but I know nothing about them).

In the case of the cable flapper opener, yep, the shed or spares box is the appropriate place. My feeling is that very few modded bikes have them. Won't adversely affect performance.

Was nothing ike that on my Racefit; but it's a valid concern...and sadly one I know little about :(

Thanks for the replies! So the cable actually doesn't get put back on and I need to feed it through and get rid of it? If I need to put the original can back on though for the MOT can that cable be fed back through again and refitted?

From what i've looked up the Arrow GP-2 has the o2 sensor hole to refit so that should be all fine.

Do you need a Servo Buddy/Servo Eliminator too, or is that only if you disconect and remove the servo unit?

Mine had the servo removed (track bike so would just be taking up space) so has a servo buddy plugged in to stop any ECU fault code showing.

If you leave it plugged in does the servo just still move but doesn't do anything as the cable isn't attached?

I assume not as nowhere i've looked has mentioned one! I don't even know what the servo and the cable does?!

Here's a few pics from when I fitted my Racefit; you can see the cable attached to the OEM exhaust.
First you unclip the cover in the "undertray" (you can see it on the floor to the right of the pic next to the old chinese food container containing all the nuts and screws)

The cable is fixed to the OEM exhaust and the motor is on the bike; the cable is attached to the motor on a round wheel (see fourth pic)

I simply re-attached the cover over the motor assembly after fitting my Racefit.

PS. These pics were taken before I cleaned everything under there

Fantastic thank you for that, I can't wait for it to turn up and get fitting it now! How difficult are the springs to release attaching the can to the pipe? Will I need to buy a spring puller or easy enough to pull back with a screwdriver?

You say the Arrow has a hole for the O2 sensor, are you sure you have the right can? The cat and O2 sensor are on the downpipes on the 14-16 bikes, the diameter is also larger than earlier bikes?

The O2 sensor is on the headers on 14-16 blade so you don't have to remove/refit it. As above do you definitely have the correct slipon if there is a hole for the O2 sensor?
Make sure the servo is returned to the same position after removing the cable or you could get warnings.

Interesting. Easy enough to plug the sensor hole on the can, but is the collector box outlet diameter larger also, or just the headers?

I'm only going on youtube videos i've seen and what was said about the Arrow GP-2 on the US forums. I don't have the end can yet it's still in the post so if I don't have to remove the o2 sensor then even better.

I've just been trying to do research on youtube ad the web before it turns up so I fit it right and don't have any nasty surprises. And yes what i've ordered is for the 14-16 model of blade.

Then you should be fine, just make sure you return the servo wheel to the right position when you remove the exhaust valve cable, the rest is simple..

Cheers it's sounding even simpler than what i've seen on youtube as they are pre 14-16 bikes and yes I will make sure I turn the servo back round. It looks like it just needs a 90 degree turn to get the cable out and then move it back 90 degrees.

Just trying to fit it now and stuck on releasing the clamp. How much is the screw on the exhaust clamp supposed to turn before its enough to release it? Mine looks like it’s not been put on straight and trying to loosen it only goes a couple of turns and gets stuck!

You need plenty of WD 40 to free it up.

All done and christ almighty what a sound :D I've been riding 25 years and it's the loudest exhaust i've had, absolutely stunning  It's like having a new bike.

Thanks for all the replies :)
