Big day tomorrow.....typically been sunny for ages and rain is forecast for the morning!

Won't let that stop me though......a lot of preparation gone into this!

Anyone else there tomorrow?? @Mad Matt are you putting in an appearance??

Bike looks really good - but small. I still say the gold wheels make it.

    How tall are you?

It was a bit gloomy to start off with to be honest though it stayed dry. Brightened up nicely around 2pm so last couple of hours were perfect! :)

Ah, right. I know we make the best of what we have, but do you feel really cramped on the bike? It looks as if you don't have rearsets. I just imagine it being quite uncomfortable for a 6 footer, let alone taller. (I'm 5'9 BTW.) Of course, with the 'older' bikes riding position is not a concern, but we seem to be being squeezed in further with each new model.

Wouldn't mind doing a track day , beginners group for me  , I guess till you get out there you don't know what you and your bike are capable of . Safer than the roads though at least everyone is going in the same direction , I hope

    I’m 6’2” as well
I’ve got a 2001 GSXR600 from which I removed a set of Gilles rearsets because it felt too cramped; the blade riding position feels way bigger which is weird

Most bikes are are on the small side these day's so yeah we do make the most of what we have. the bike doesn't feel cramped at all for me though, luckily i'm still quite flexible and supple for my age and i'm not carrying too much much weight either so I can move around on the bike with relative ease.

The only bike that has truly fitted me perfectly was my Gen 1 Aprilia RSV 1000 which was well over 10 years ago. Seat height on that bike was quite high and meant I was touching the floor with my toes when stationary, with the blade I feel a little lower to the ground and i'm flat footed when feet are on the floor and stationary, but when riding I have no issues with comfort at all! ;)

You have to do one Mark, I've been out with you and I know you'll easily be able to keep up with the pace in the novice group! The track is so much wider and as you say everyone is going in the same direction so far less to worry about. ;)
