Well you can get them anodised or powder coated. Point is, Sato anodises them too, so they can chip the same as these if you get them anodised :) Save your money ,) You can also look at ceramic coating

It's a Powerbronze heat shield that replaces the original silver one.

I want to go for Hel lines but I'm put off by all the faffing with the bleeding, I think I'll have to get someone to do it for me

You changed your exhaust; brake lines and bleeding are simple - I did mine and I'm close to a simpleton.

    Or is yours ABS?

Just ordered the hooks off the guy on this thread... [email protected]

Right nice bloke got straight back to me & sorted quickly. £29.50 including p&p.
Sourced a company only a few miles away to powder coat them too. Happy days :)

That's a magic link. I followed it when removing my pillion pegs. Still a bit of swearing etc, but that was due more to my lack of patience.

Well I'll be popping the pegs on & off several times this year, so I'll report back on how the powder coating stands up to use in case anyone else wants to get theirs done but was worried about it marking.

Bit of an update on the street hooks.
Excellent service from Darren at [email protected] I can thoroughly recommend him & the hooks are great quality.
I've had them powder coated matt black for £15......and I've marked them slightly already lol....
So I think the answer to the question of how aftermarket powder coating will stand up to pegs being put on and off is...not v well!
I'm going to buy a small roll of carbon wrap or something similar and cut out the shape just to stick on to protect it when I need to put the pegs on.
They do look better black though against the bike so that's a plus :)

Erm. ......I did say somewhere on this thread that I wasn't going to get mine powder coated or anodized as they wouldn't stand up to pillion pegs being replaced and removed..... or using the holes for strapping down in transportation more than a few times and would end up looking a bit tatty!

    Just sayin Lozzy ;):D:eek:
