Shouldn't worry about folks looking around mate, they're either admiring it or doing that pursy lips scowly face which personally I find amusing....just give them a little blip & shout toodle pip
I have found I'm a little conscious of the volume of my Racefit similar to you sp0oner. If I'm riding in town or through a village I'll knock it up a gear and keep the revs low and it doesn't seem as offensive. As far as the baffle goes, it's pretty useless so I've replaced it with a Moto gp style diffuser. Looks better than a baffle and has similar sound deadening properties. i.e. None
Thanks and I wish I had taken photos of doing it as it's even easier/less work than the previous model which all the youtube videos are based on. Basically there is no need to undo the fairing bolt on the left side of the bike as there is no o2 sensor and the bolt for the clamp on mine was underneath so could be got at from the right hand side. Also the underside for the servo cable is slightly different to the earlier model but only need to undo two screws on the right hand side of the bike and one underneath the rear seat and it pulls away, can leave the left hand screw as it holds the cover on whilst you undo the cable.
Yeah could do it's not something that's even crossed my mind until you posted that! I've never modded any of my bikes other than end cans
Once you start tinkering it's a slippery slope...especially frequenting this site with so many awesome bikes with all the mods & addons...costing me a f******* fortune If you're not using them though , it's definitely something to consider, cleans up the rear somewhat. There's a link to external page that is a guide on how to do it - Nigel will be along shortly with the link!
Cheers will wait for the link Just ordered the db killer for £37 at that price it's worth having in the garage.
Link here to street hooks and the chap who does them....if you want any re taking the pegs off.. https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/uk-made-racing-hooks-sato-replica.34947/
Cheers for that. Not sure i'm ready to go as far as removing the subframe. As demonstrated with doing the exhaust something that should be really simple turns out to be a PITA for me with stuck bolts They do look good when fitted though!
Ta da. Sorry to let you down, been out for the day. LINK: http://trinityzxr750l1.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/fitting-sato-racing-street-hooks-to.html Same procedure for peg removal - street hook info is irrelevant.
Nice one I don't think you will be disappointed! I got the db killer for it the other day and with it in it's very quiet so perfect for MOT time and going into town when you don't want unwanted attention.
Just thought I would resurrect an old thread to ask if you good people are all still happy with the Arrow GP slip-on pipe and if you have had any remap work done as well? I know Arrow state you don't need a remap but I was thinking of killing two birds with one stone, so to speak. It looks like good value compared to other makes.
