Hi Patrick. Yeah, I'd be a starter. Would have to decide which bike to ride. But there's conditions : I don't do wet roads, dusty roadworks or insects. I will tolerate Repsols - because after all, they are Hondas. I guess that now that I have a Repsol jacket I can't be too opinionated. I think we're a bit light on the good selection of roads our northern members have, so I'd be interested in your suggestions. Because matte black is the third fastest colour (behind HRC and Gloss Black) I am sure I'll have no difficulty keeping up!!
Sounds like a plan Nigel....Though from what people have been saying ....keeping up may not be a problem but going the distance might! Would you be interested in a trip into wales?? or would you prefer it to be local???
I'm not sure about Nigel......but keepng it up and going the distance has never been a problem for me!!! As I get older I do feel a lack of interest in it though.....a senior friend of mine put in into words perfectly....'I'd rather have a hot dinner' haha !!! As far as riding the bike is concerned, I'm quite happy with a full day in the saddle with a Few stops to break it up a bit!
I'd try & keep the enthusiasm up if I were you..... or your missus will be off faster than a rat up a drainpipe & you'll be left aaall alone... with just a cat cushion & tea towel on the wall for company.....
Patrick, I think it might be wise for a local first-up, both for us and any others who might join in. It's an introduction of personalities and an opportunity to later set a longer ride with input from all. I hope we might be joined by other midland riders.
I think Nigel is the exception to the rule with that....besides you only get a bedroom in those bedsits, with a little wardrobe & mat to put your slippers on

Hi Patrick. I've just checked my 14 weather apps and it looks to be fine. Count me in. When you've got more numbers, perhaps we'll decide on the meeting place? I'll have to decide which bike to ride, and maybe even do a preliminary route check to remove any road kill etc that might dirty my bike. Cheers!
Haha, it's funny at first but only those with the bike cleanliness OCD affliction know how debilitating it can be
Not my luck this weekend Nigelrb I'm gonna have to bail as I have a family issue that cropped up yesterday. We will have to plan this for another day.....Gutted
