Lucky to find this completely standard cbr900rr Tiger that has had a slight restoration, can’t stop looking at it in the man cave
Remembering how much I liked my blade of the same year, I would struggle to leave that sitting without putting the miles on it. Lovely looking bike mate.
That's not all negative, though. What it does mean is that we don't pile the mileage on our best bikes. Do you get the strange glares from neighbours when you line them up outside? Having said that, I suppose it is a bit more 'normal' wheeling bikes out of a garage, than out of a home's front door!
Yep, right on the money. Great lighting and power points too. @TheRamJam was about to build a similar one also. Might have been subject to a house purchase maybe (post was in March)
Remember seeing one of these when I was around 18......didn't know it was an urban tiger at the time until my brother pointed it out.....just thought it was a fireblade. I was too busy driving my mates around, getting pissed (not at the same time) and trying to 'cop off' with girls to care about bikes at aged 18. I still remember where and when I saw it though......I can still picture it now. Since this thread started I've been looking at them on eBay and bike trader Haha! Cheers Gary!
My story of the urban tiger, back in 94 I was living with my 1st wife one Saturday morning I popped in to my local Honda dealers and done a deal on a brand new urban tiger I said to the salesman let me go home and talk it over with the missus, I got the green light so I planned to go back the following weekend and pay the £200 deposit, two days before this I get home from work to be told I was going to be a dad so that put a stop to any new bikes or any bike to come to think of it. The other bike I wanted back in the day was an LC 350 and even more so the RD500 so watch this space ha ha
