I think given the weather forecast for yorks we'll be better doing it another Sunday tbh. I'll check it again in the morning but don't think it's going to change. Will you be going to SMC then over to meet up with Paul & co? I'm getting a bit confused now about what's happening lol
@Muffking @PauloHRC Definitely raining East coast tomorrow so plan B & Paul's suggestion it is Paul I guess you're planning on coming over the Cat from the Macclesfield end? Gary if you're taking the guys up to SMC, shall I meet you there and we can go out of Sheffield then towards the Snake as before but cut down through the Hope Valley, up Winnats Pass ( not as exciting as the HorCums Hole @SimonRR , but smashing never the less ) and then over to Buxton area to meet Paul and the lads there? Or do you have another route in mind? If that's ok then we just need times. It'll only take us about 40 min to get from SMC to Buxton.....
Yes I'll come through Macc from my end straight up the Cat and fiddle........I can't really think of another meeting point as the ride will more or less be over if we meet at one of the other locations! If we say 10.30 at the Fiddle, that still means we would all be leaving home an hour later than we thought so that gives road drying time should there be the need. I personally think it will be dry anyway! There's usually a butty van at the Fiddle pub so can have a drink and some breakfast there if need be. Then there is the chippy etc in Ashbourne for lunch!! @Selmer50mark if you want to meet me at the Trafford Centre about 9.30 ?
If the meeting point is Cat around 10.30 then I can't see point in you lincs lads going all way up to Sheffield to SMC as it doesn't open till 10.30 anyway. Go straight across to Cat maybe? or somewhere near where we're heading?!? I suppose by time we've had a breakfast butty & moved on it will be a later time for a meet up if that suits you better Simon. I'll come straight over from Dronfield to meet you @PauloHRC at the Cat & Fiddle
Looking at forecast it's given no rain in the Peaks etc from teatime on so like Paul says I think it will have dried out by Sunday morning..... My Uncle Berts got some spare tractor tyres on his farm at Bakewell if it's damp & you need them @SimonRR
OK @Lozzy sounds good, we could maybe do the loop in reverse order to what I said. So.......meet at the CanF, down to Ashbourne, up to Matlock then finish at bakewell. Lincs lot will be better placed from there to go over to SMC if I've got that right?
No mate I think Gary was just using SMC as the initial point they were heading too. As we've met there before. But like I say it doesn't open till 10.30 so if they headed there for it opening & had a quick coffee it would be 11.30 at least by time they got to the Cat....so initial route is fine by me
I've got the Cat & Fiddle as post code SK11 0BE? Can we make it 11:30 as it's gonna take 2 hours to get there from Lincs.
2 hours!! You all coming on scooters I'm good with that, I'll probably still get there for 1030 though, have a butty & chill
Nah, not a chance. Any cloud above the UK land mass is a big disincentive to me. I will join up one day, guys. Have a great day where ever you go!
Ok @Manfred and @Selmer50mark 9.30 at the big hotel car park that is in the shadow of the chill factor! You'll see it on your left as soon as you take that exit off the motorway! Is @Jandy still out? If so meet there if you like! See you at 10.30 @Lozzy and we can chill while we wait fort 'others!
