Cheers Nigel! Yeah have to say I really love it! Will get a vid up with my go pro so you can get the full rasp of the beast lol
Talking about Gopro videos, heres a short clip I made a few weeks ago. Bike is running full Akra system, I can put up a vid later without music if you guys want to hear the sound clearly at different rpms.. This video was the last nice ride we had before it gets too hot to ride out here. Bike is in storage now, hibernation mode
Haha indeed. And it would never be "too cold" to ride in the UAE Now its around 38-40c during the day time and soon will be 45-50c
Sure, i will put together some of the clips with no music so you can hear exhaust sound at different rpms..
Ok, here is a short clip of me hooning around in the early morning.. You will notice I am checking my mirrors alot because we had 2 new riders with us so just making sure they are keeping up.. and ofcorse looking out for the popo
Gee, you got some great highways over there, Hashy. Is the police presence high? And what is the highway/freeway speed limit?
Cheers man, we have some decent roads here.. Gotta ride further out of town for the mountain roads tho. Police presence is not that high to be honest. Not like it is in the UK. Its a small quiet city, very low crime rate.. However for traffic control we have lots and lots of speed cameras You gotta know where they are and watch out always. Inner city highways are 120kmph and outer city highways are 140kmph.
Sounds great! Here’s my sc project end can only.. fitting akra headers this week with mwr filter. Will get some better vids up shortly
Nice man, your bike is gonna be insanely loud with Akra headers and SC can lol. Should get a decent amount of performance out tho, I am assuming you will be tuning your bike then also..?
Yeah it’s seriously loud as it is lol But I’ve paid for the akra headers so they may as well go on.. louder is safer anyway lol Yeah will be tuning it but unsure if I have any other option than a pc.
Pre-breakfast run before dad and husband duties. Not the most comfortable commuter, but without doubt the most sorted, flickable and best package of the 8 Blades I've owned so far.
Great! Good to see ya. Been wondering where you are. Ah yes, the dad, husband AND new car duties! Remember them well. Cheers!! Like your comments about the bike. Mmm, there's just something about my RR4 that makes it feel better than my 2018. Perhaps 'more comfortable' might be more apt, but I find the 2004 a real joy.
Working mostly, car's almost arrived from Germany, hopefully Tuesday. This Blade reminds me of the 954 on steroids when it's shifting; I think it's probably down to the weight. I'd always had a soft spot for Tadao's last bike, in fact I was thinking earlier I'd like to ride another sorted one as a comparison.
I've never ridden any of the early models. Would like to, even if just to experience the 'advancements?' in the later models. Can't buy one though - no room left, unless I keep it outside.
Must admit Nigel that my 1996, 1998 and yes swapped for the new colours although the same bike 1999 Fireblades were an absolute hoot. To be honest the only Fireblade that I bought brand new and it didn’t really hit the spot was the 2000 Fireblade. Not slagging it off just didn’t gel very well with it. It was then my seven year love affair with VTR SP1,s and VTR SP2s started.
