I used to have these..until they got lost! Cant get them anymore..but they were light and small and could hardly tell they are in the ears with the lid on.. https://www.whathifi.com/klipsch/image-x10i/review So wondering what others are using? i was thinking of bluetooth ones..as then it saves having a wire hanging out.. I use shure se215 with comply tips if I'm not using my Bose over the ears noise cancelling ones, or my cheapie taotrinics if I am in London
They were pretty good. Not quite as good as plain earplugs or the Ultimate Ears but still good. The comply tips are very useful, only downside is they need replacing after a while as they pick up dirt etc. I tried some cheaper replacements and the difference was noticable on the bike.
Apparently not enough to listen properly according to the Frau They are useful for different purposes. My Bose aee great when travelling as the nouse cancelling really helps with the noise if the train for example when I'm on a 4 gour journey to Scotland. Also they don't leak any noise to annoy other travellers. The Shure are useful to have. They can fit under my lid and I used to use them before getting some Ultimate Ears. With the comply tips they are also good at not leaking noise, but are more difficult to quickly take on and off compared to the Bise iver ears. The Shure are also good for noisey environments like data centres. The TaoTronics have basic noise cancelling are reasoanbly comfortable and didn't cost too much. I use this when moving around London as I'm not worried about losing them or having some lowlife try and take them off me. To make it worse I also have some Quiet On noise cancelling ear plugs that I use in the office. They are great when on a call as they cancel out people near by on the aame call and prevent the confusion of hearing them in real life and then again a second or two later on the phone thanks to the joys of IP telephony.
I've got a couple of pairs of headphones. I'm not sure if you're talking about in-ears to use while you're on the bike or just general use. I've got a pair Jaybird X3 wireless in-ears. Not astounding sound quality but decent enough and very convenient. For use in the house and with my PC I've also got a pair of Grado SR80e. Beautiful sound quality but obviously they're on-ear phones so you're not going to be stashing them in your coat pocket They're also an open-backed design so they leak sound like a MF. Not much good if you're in a crowded train but for the price, I think you'd struggle to get anything that sounds better.
Do you listen to music while hooning around on the Blade? I tried it once on the way home but found it too distracting (especially through the Blackwall tunnel!)
Thanks. BSS. That's a great insight into a world I haven't experienced. I can appreciate it better now because I know the difference between 'Bose' and mainstream in the stereo world - I had no idea there'd be similar differences with earphones. It's a learning experience, despite the fact that the next things for my ears will be hearing aids.

Blade - Shure SE315s Home - Audio Technica Open back ATH-AD700 Everywhere else - Bose QC35/QC15 As BSS each are for different purposes, and what your listening too. Shures fit nicely under the helmet and provide a degree of sound isolation Audio Technica mainly for gaming and TV, the soundstage is unreal especially for games like PUBG, openback also allow normal conversation with the wife! Bose QC to shut out the world, QC15 for desk work, QC35 for on the move
Whilst my musical tastes are quite eclectic, Val Doonican does not feature. Don't remember what I was listening to exactly but I didn't like it. Perhaps I ride more spiritedly than others...
I once listened to Basement Jaxx Greatest Hits - Where's Your Head At, got me to work in 11 minutes on my usual 20 minute ride. If you're looking for some "bang for your buck" as our American cousins say, have a look at Dunu on Amazon. I've had a couple of pairs, great sound and build quality. The last pair I had were the DN-2000J's, for £200 they were comparable to a £1000 AKG's.
Are any of these any good with noise cancelling? I’m looking for something to use with a SENA but also use an arai rx7 so very noisy.
