Very true, Brad. (One of our few agreements!) There are some sad statistics of 'borrowed' bikes being victims of mishaps. Unfamiliarity/riding beyond limits/and 'let's see what it'll do' all contribute to a generous person invariably stumping up repair costs.
I am a mature rider in my late 50s been riding bikes for best part of 40 years and don't ride like a lunatic and have owned a few blades and other bikes in the past and if I do any damage I will be repaired at my cost
Hiya @daz1. Just in case you misinterpreted my comment, it was generic and not personal. My post was based on my long-past experience of being a motorcycle mechanic where I saw first-hand the results of inexperienced and over-zealous 'borrowers' - most of whom with far fewer years under their leather jacket than yourself.
