Do you have any preference when changing your oil on which filter you would use, genuine or aftermarket. I know you would be advised to use genuine if under warranty but after that period would you use aftermarket oil filters?

Lots use K&N as they have the nut on top to tighten/remove filter plus they are good,

For what a filter costs I'd by oem
Or k&n for piece of mind

OEM for me had enough trying to cross over filters on my last bikes.Too small /too big.Under warranty it has got to be OEM.Not tried KN filters yet, will do when warranty runs out.

Only ever used OEM, but I can't see there being any problem using K&N as they wouldn't produce an inferior filter.

More than there reputation is worth to do that.

TBH I have always shyed away from aftermarket in favour on O/E mainly to satisfy warranty issues if they might occur but after that period I would probably use aftermarket filters, K&N seem to be a popular brand from the comments received, maybe its to do with the hexagon nut on the to facilitate fitting but more so removal, I may give them a try on the next oil change.
    Thanks for all the comments.
