The only one I’ve been part of is the Honda Fireblade Owners Club, I’ve found it useful for parts and other bits and bobs, just tried attaching a screen shots or you but didn’t work
You find keyboard warriors every where, there’s been a few on here as well. I don’t bother getting in conversations just look for anything I need and then I’m gone!
That's a shame. Involvement in conversations and camaraderie with members is one of the key bonuses for groups like this. Only last week I was fortunate enough to meet a fellow member for a roadside chat. To be able to put a face to the avatar is (for me) rewarding. There are successful group runs orchestrated by members for members, up-to-date technical information and user experiences that help others, and of course the huge range of parts and accessories made available by members for members. I accept, however, that membership is on the basis of 'each to their own' - that is what makes us all individuals.
This group has been fine , as has the Facebook Honda fireblade owners club group . However some other groups I’m on have proper little keyboard warriors . Some 2 stroke groups and yorkshire county bikers one and a couple of others .
Your certainly right it is a shame it’s that way at times. Most normal individuals would join a group to get know like minded people and increase their knowledge about certain subjects but unfortunately at times when a discussion is started some people just don’t like others opinions and that’s when your better off leaving the topic well alone and not getting involved. There’s always a twat somewhere who wants to give it for no good reason, some just can’t help it because they are just Grade A Twats. Respect each other and other’s opinions and life will always be better Just watching the two Ronnies so its a Good Night from me and a Good Night from him!
