hi can anybody give me some advice or something that works to get rid of swirl and scratch marks out ,no deep marks , I have been using some waterless cleaner on my bike instead of washing after every ride , I got the bike out yesterday and in the light the paint work is full of these , I emailed the company yesterday telling them , I got an email from they head office again tonight off them saying that they tell you to test a bit on a small part of the bike , what a load of shit ive emailed them back again telling them its a load of shit .
Hi Autoglym super resin polish will remove light swirls .....then follow up with ultra gloss protection....have used for years.....I would never trust that waterless crap how can it work when your rubbing in dust grime etc.. Try the autoglym stuff I use all there products on my car as well its about £9!a bottle...let me know how it goes....buff off lightly
I will try this cheers , I just didn't know if it needed some type of compound to shift these . I fucking wont use the shite again ,
what brand was the waterless stuff it wasn't williams stuff ...saw that advertised the other day....have a look at the autoglym website all the details and how to use are on there.....hope it works...
I have a sp1 just got it and will give it a rinse off before 1st service use muc off as quite gentle then the gloss protection to add a layer then in between washes I uses the muc off polish doesn't cause swirls and good at getting bugs off...
that was the only reason I used Williams on my bike after every ride instead of washing , but never again .
I use a damp sponge cloth for the minor dust/road grime, then light chamois, and then Simoniz or Turtle Wax and then Liquid Crystal one of the members recommended. As @Wozza said, I cannot see the merit of using 'waterless' when any grit/grime will be trapped in the cloth and then broadcast over the sufrace. I'm sure you'll be able to polish it out though!
Hello mate. In order to clean a Motorcycle you need water. Example- would anyone clean a kid just using baby wipes...No. I have kept my bikes to showroom standard for years. A 100% fail safe way to clean your bike and protect its paintwork is thus- Buy a Hozelock pump sprayer (from a garden centre using tap water) to remove initial dust and grime (jet hoses are too harsh). Wash your bike with bucket and sponge (use a vehicle shampoo, never use washing up liquid). Rinse off with said pump sprayer again. Get to it drying with a chammy leather to dry. Clean the chain and sprockets with a clean cloth and DW40. Jobs a good un. I have seen blokes bikes who don’t use water and the paintwork looks like they have cleaned it with a Brillo pad.
Rinse Snow foam Rinse Wash (two bucket) wool mitt Rinse, dry with top gloss or other brand detailer and micro fibre towel
At this time of year when there's no salt I would just leave it dirty until you have the time to do a proper job. Don't even touch dirty paintwork let alone run a cloth over it. Got to rinse first. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk That's a good website that talks through a lot of stuff. When you've got rid of your swirls you can leave the polish then and just stick to sealant and wax.
Autoglym is decent stuff, I've had Super Resin Polish and Extra Gloss Protection in my cleaning kit for years. The polish should lift light swirls if you give it a good going over, but it's not overly abrasive. If you need more than the Autoglym polish can give you'd I'd be tempted to leave it and buy something with thicker fillers and a decent wax. I'd just fill, polish and wax with something like Dodo Juice Supernatural. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Supernatur...pernatural&dpPl=1&dpID=51nFxSIkTiL&ref=plSrch It's expensive but a tub lasts for years.
After washing with warm soapy water i leather dry all panels, my polish of choice is Meguiars, its bloody expensive but certainly the best polish i have ever used. For your swirl issue Maguiars do a specific polish give it a try.
I use meguiars quick detailer for dry washes and have only washed my blade once with water because I'm lazy. Also autobrite do some great polishes and detailer sprays. Scratch x is the megs one. super resin is great too, although autobrite brilliance is my weapon of choice for swirl removal. Always get Good results with it
yes it was I have emailed them and told them whats what , there reply was you are suppose to do a tester patch on a motorbike ? so emailed the fuckers again yesterday asking where does it say that on the bottle and where do you say this on your shopping channel ? and all they did was say sorry , fucking twats .
Would it not be more time efficient to just wash with water instead of having to do all that polishing to remove swirls from washing without water? Just trying to help you become even lazier.....
well you see it and think it would be a good thing after a ride without a full wash everytime , but not again and ive told them that they should tell people when or if there using for bikes , see if they do . bastards , lol
I am with you I saw there advert on the shopping channel and for one sec thought that's a good idea for the bike...thanks for calling out let us know what product you use ....
No swirls here, decent quick detailer spray is great stuff. Never used a 'waterless wash' though. The spray I use is what they recommend for use with clay bars, never had any issues with it, even touch the cars up with it sometimes if they dry a bit streaky. Clean my helmet and boots with it too
note wrong with a clean helmet on a serious note tho I even clean the flies off my visor with it never had any swirls. Never tried the waterless wash systems tho, or them wipes that are available. if you want a dry wash tho quick detailer is the best option
