Hi guys, has anyone used this set up before on an 08+ bike? (PCIII USB + IGNITION MODULE & QUICK SHIFTER) Is the quick shifter any good? Do i need the Ignition module to run the shifter?

    Cheers

You'll need the ignition module to run the quick shifter with the PC3, but not on the PCV. Also you may be better with the HM quick shifter that a few guys on here swear by. You could run just the PC3 without the ignition module, as the HM unit is stand alone.

Was going to get the HM quick shifter as it gets great reviews but got all the above for cheaper than the price of the HM shifter. Cant find many peoples views on the PC shifters so looking for info as to how good they are and shift times.

ZX10R, DJ Shifter, say hello to 2k rebuild thanks to mullered output shaft bearings, courtesy of Mr DJ. That was mine.

Then theres the 4 or 5 other bikes a my engine builder has repaired thanks to them.

Another vote for the HM Quickshifter plus.

If you want a good price on one ask Arthur.

There is no better shifter than the HM... They just work perfectly. Get the ignition cutting version (the HM Plus SH) rather than the fuel cutting one that plugs into the PCIII. A quick shifter that cuts the spark rather than the fueling is the way to go.
