Hi all, so i have some R&G engine case sliders i'm hoping to fit later today, the left side seems like it will go in without any fuss, the right side however looks like i need to remove the mid fairing to access a couple of the case bolts, i have had a look at removing the fairing off the bike, wow does that look like a real PITA, anyone ever fitted any and got any tips, dont want to break anything with my ham fisted spannerisms.

    Cheers

be careful with the R&G bolts.very low quality and can round off very easily, covers are great tho,had them on my 600,going with GB covers for the blade.

I initailly was going for a set of gb covers as i think they look loads better but a set of r&g popped up on fleabay for a bargain price so had them instead, as long as it does its job as a 'just in case'.
Any tips on the bolts hidden by the fairing?

When I fitted my Woodcraft case sliders,I had to remove the cover on the left side that goes behind the shifter linkage.

You will definitely have to remove the fairings, it is a bit of a struggle when you first look at the job but once you start and fully commit to it you'll know what you're doing next time!

I must admit it defeated me when I first tried to fit my GB covers and I ended up getting them fitted when the bike went in for service.

I recently put a full Chinese bodywork kit on my rr9 and it was quite challenging in some respects but I could do it again quite easily now!

P.s. you should have gone with the GB covers but if you got RandG cheap then fair play!

Cheers for the advice, i got them fitted saturday, wasnt as bad as i first thought, just took the bolts out the belly pan and a couple out the mid fairing and they eased apart enough to slip the right hand side case on easy, doesnt look as nice as the GB ones but for the price i paid for them and as long as they do theyre job i cant complain i suppose
