I got my daughter plug them in for me! She put her hand through between the radiator and frame and managed do them both for me bonus of small girl hands lol
Wow! That is nearly BEYOND the bounds of fatherly trust! You should get her to clean around the rear shock and swing arm for extra pocket money!!
She's dead helpful bless her, she comes out on it with me. Even commented how much better the gear change was with it fitted .
So she's getting a CBR125R Repsol for Christmas? What a great dad you are!! (If she's way too young I'm sure you'll keep it running for a couple of years. Just tape over the 'Repsol' decals while you're out!!)
hmmm shift rod done,ss powers up now got a management light on when running, any tips where to start apart from the obvious of stripping it all out 2 short flashes coming up
Well, just fitted my Plus SS and got it set up. Shifts lovely. Bit more tweaking with kill time needed but changes are sweet.
Management light on the bike or QS? There’s only 2 things it can be other than a faulty unit - coils not plugged in properly to HM loom or bad earth. Possible you’ve disturbed a connection somewhere around the tank area too? Sorry, that’s more than 2 things! But if the SS unit powers up I suspect it may be a bad connection somewhere? Just guessing though.
Should of got a pro fit it. Lol. does it run? mine worked no probs, I do remember it was hard to fit the plugs I had really push down till I heard the click, but im guessing it would run like shit if ones not connected, have u earthed it? like Nigel say's not much else unless faulty or u not plug something back in, ps u might want use locktight on the shift rod, i'v lost a couple
I would try going back through all of the connections and plugs you have disconnected and make sure they are all nice and sound. Does the engine run ok? If all cylinders are firing correctly I would be inclined to think the coil connections are fine.
Looking at the fault codes two short flashes indicate vacuum issue.unless any one else knows better 1st thing tomorrow and check the pipes coming off the airbox.remember the pipe that comes off the airbox front was hard to locate with the throttle cables etc in the way. Pipe is barely long enough to attach in situ
Was just thinking them pipes under the air box, bastard things. On mine there was a sensor plug under there aswell if I remember right
well turns out, that the pipe to the map sensor was not fully engaged, quick look on a forum gave me the fix, sorted and she fired straight up fault free. went through the set up and chose sensitivity 80 % and kill time 65 ms,seems all ok on the paddock, now want some good weather, thanks for the advice, well chuffed
