Indeed and Very Red-Arrows. Favourite aeroplanes of the RAF - probably the Hawker Tempest of the piston engine age, and the Hawker Harrier in the jet age.
As a kid my nextdoor neighbour worked on the lightning. He took me and my dad on a nightshift and we watched an engine swap and fire up test . I got to sot in cockpit loads all guys so friendly to my then 8 year old wittering. Amazing experience. Can you imagine being able to do that today. Love this lid. My daughter does air cadets and its fab
Perhaps they'll do it....I'm sure it'd sell well. Especially if they give some of profits to an raf charity
Really nice lid that Lozzy, caught a glimpse of it in the flesh on moto 2 warm up! Don't think they'll replicate it though as unfortunately it's associated with Sam Lowe's!! If you ever go too any BSB, WSB or Moto GP and you have a look round the merchandise stalls........poor old Sam's stuff is in all the bargain bins and they're always full!!! Feel a bit sorry for him really.......when I was at Oulton Park BSB earlier in the year we saw all his stuff reduced and in the bargain bins and then we clocked this lad wearing an SL cap, think he was the only one who bought one that day haha!
Is it also the same for Alex? Remember a member offering the Samsung Lowes replica on here. I wonder if it ever sold? (There's actually one on eBay at the moment)
Alex has had some recent success on board the Yamaha R1 and his career in suppose has been pretty steady with an obvious highlight of BSB glory on the Samsung Honda you mentioned @nigelrb. Unfortunately for Sam that awful year on the Aprilia has seen him fall by the wayside slightly and dropping into moto 2 is never a step in the right direction but he's put a brave face on it and currently is in 12th place......not great is it? Hence the bargain basement merchandise, I wish him well though. Such a shame when decent British riders don't get a break. I only hope Brad Smith can land a decent ride somewhere and his career doesn't turn too shite as well!!
