I thought it would just fit over the bar end but you have to take out the insides of the bar and replace like a cartridge I would have left it off if my mate didn't know what he was doing.
Yeah I bought some r and g bar end and noticed all the gubbins inside when fitting so thought how's that fit then. Haha. Nearly got drill out with 20mm drill bit on.
Far Canal! That is sweeeet! Are you a fabricator/engineer by trade? ...that is a first class job; something I would love to have the skills to do.
I was a mechanic in the mid to late 80’s dabbled in a bit of car bodywork, thought I would give this a go. Turned out better than I expected, took a few hours more than I had planned to say the least but worth it in the end.
Ah, a REAL mechanic with tools; not one with an electronics degree for plug in and let the computer do the work!!
Fitted some Stomp Grips to the side panels. This is the 3rd type as I have tried EasyGrip which didn't like the curves and started peeling off, then TechSpec my normal preferred choice wouldn't even stick to the plastic. These time it seems more hopeful, especially as I learnt about Adhesive Promotor, and with enough heat the Stomp grips became very pliable and coped well with the curves. Time will tell as I am leaving it alone now until I take her out for a ride on the weekend. Best bit though is that I am sure the OCD Brigade will collapse in apoplexy when they see TechSpecs on the tank and Stomp Grips on the side as I won't be removing the TechSpecs until the Stomp Grips have been thoroughly tested, pics anyone
Apologises this wasn't on the bike but had a few laps around Blyton today as a present from the Wife, unfortunately they wouldn't let me keep it
