    Nice!

I hardly believe that is out of your budget. Sell a bike, get the helmet. Job done!

Nah, it's not so easy. Bike ownership isn't like having a share portfolio where one just phones a broker and gives instructions to sell. No, each bike has a 'personality' (as @hitch will agree) and cannot be sacrificed for the sake of generating a few quid. They are not commodities to be bought/sold willy nilly.

However, selling a kidney in Thailand might generate sufficient funds for the helmet and another bike!:D

Funny thing about that, I would never sell my Repsol. It has a very distinct personality that meshes very well with mine. The Pani, however, is more just a "bike" to me at this point. Perhaps that will change as I ride it more.

I use my blade everyday and will continue to do so and will never sell it but can’t wait to get my panni, gonna use that a lot also. Be interesting to see what you think as from friends having had both, are saying they don’t feel it’s got the soul of the v twin but it’s bloody rapid

I think it will change. I do understand what you mean when I consider my MV. Although both in-line fours, they're very different bikes. The Italians just do things differently: ergonomics; power delivery; gear ratios; and of course, handling. Although having not ridden a recent Ducati, I am sure you will ride it more and more once you learn to 'understand' it. It might not deliver the 'fun and familiarity' of the Honda, but it will deliver 'pleasure and personality'.
