From pushing to full = 16.93litres Yes I ran out of fuel. I have learnt that my SP1 can't go as far as my 2012 blade on reserve. It doesn't help when the range indicator goes from 10 miles to -- -- -- within about 3 miles. Fortunately my pushing session wasn't too far, on the flat helped too. Three people stopped to help, one bike and two cars.
In my 08 I already did 17,53 litres... Reserve indicator is quite accurate. Last time I had to push it was already night time... Had to push roughly 2Kms, with ups and downs, full gear on, and since it was night I left the lights on. After I got a full tank... the battery was dead... Let me tell ya, that was a very long day.... Well... now you know the limit!
Gee Kevin, that's really interesting. Only on Monday I was on one of my RARE rides on my SP, and was also into the low zone, but re-fuelled, taking on 13.92 litres with supposedly 34 miles remaining. 16.93 is surprising because I've never read anywhere of the tank holding more than 16.0 litres - 16.2 litres if you rely on the manual. I suppose if you really 'brimmed' it that would explain it, otherwise the pump was miscalibrated. Fortunately, they're an easy bike to push. However, you have tainted the reputation of HRC. How can we brag about having the fastest bike when you're rolling one down a friggin' highway!!
