I'm over it now but it really pissed me off at the time, I was so annoyed with myself, I'd just bought a new touring bike and the Blade was SORN 'd for the winter so swapped the insurance over to the new bike rather than add it on as an additional bike
It's a horrible thing when you realise it's gone. I opened my garage to see my gsxr100 track bike not there, it not being there caused me to think I had parked it elsewhere! It was total disbelief and denial. Never heard of it again, just vanished like so many do. Now I chain them into the concrete garage floor with a sunk anchor and put the wheels in the house
THAT presents a VERY interesting conundrum. Adopting my (frequent) 'devil's advocate' position, I could see a company such as MCE (for instance) denying a claim on the basis of the incomplete bike not being a motorcycle at all, but a collection of parts as it is not in a functional state. Credit to you of course for adopting excellent security practice, however, I wonder if you might wish to explore this possibility?
Yes I know what you mean I went outside to see if I'd left it parked in the drive, that's when I saw the hole they had cut into the up & over door. made me feel sick
Same for the 2016 models. I had the option of a Marquez or Pedrosa livery as well. I have those decals in a folder.
Insurance companies are a law to themselves, thats why i take all precautions i can and dont bother insuring it. It was a track bike, not 6k but its the idea of people relieving you of stuff you work to buy and the time it takes to get how you like it. Have to stop , my piss is boiling ..................
I held 2 would be bike thieves at gunpoint when they attempted to steal my RC51. Who tries to steal a bike from base housing? We're all armed..
If only The really frustrating point in my case is that an informer grassed up the thrives but the police were powerless to do anything for fear of putting the informant at risk.
