Is it only me?

Just back from an early morning jaunt. I am wondering what happens to us when we don leathers and helmet and head for the good roads on a great morning.

For me, my whole psychological make-up changes. I do things that only 20-year-old might be doing, not reckless, but having little regard for personal safety - or is it over-confidence - and doing things I would NEVER to in a car. Sure, some overtakes are easy and exhilarating, but they are not always what a 'responsible' road user would employ.

I turn into my estate at the end of it all and feel on top of the world. So, is it only me?

I of course always drive within the law and never overtake anyone, I save all that for the track

SP day today (and I made it home alive again). What a class act these bikes are. I must start riding it more!

 

Not at all. I know when I go out to the good roads and really get to it, everything else melts away.

 

I find the same catharsis in detailing. The machinations and the execution, they do it for me.
