Noticed a wobble on front end. Quick check and yep bearings shot so new set fitted this weekend. Happy to report all fine again.
How long did the bearing replacement take, GT? I guess you need a bearing puller for a DIY operation also?
I normally pull a cloth round between the stanchion and mudguard but it must have built up anyway. Way employ some quick realese fastners endurance style to help cleaning .
All in i was in and out my workshop in an hour and a half. No bearing puller just cleaned recess up and lubed and tapped out from reverse.
It was a couple of years ago, maybe 3. February 2015. Had the bearings replaced, those were roughly 2 months old. I noticed sometimes the front becoming "loose", wobbling. I could turn the handle bars a bit, and the wheel remained in the same place. I'll try to explain this in English, but since it's not my primary language, bare with me. Turns out those bearings were not suitable for my bike, since they had the bearings "visible". They should have the metal spheres protected by that plastic cover. Since i'm an all year rider, and this happened in the "rain season", the spheres started to rust, and the bearing started to come apart. You can see in the 1st photo of my previous post all the rust residues in the rotor...
Your English is good mate don't worry. Glad you caught this in time, doesn't looks safe. I had a mate spend vast amounts of money before trying to fix a shudder / wobble on his GSXR. serviced brakes, new head bearing etc etc and lots of bleeds later it turned out to be the wheel bearings..
bearing puller Hammer and drift should do the trick for removal. Fit new bearings with hammer and suitably sized socket. No problem

Snap. And feeler guages . Jesus in one draw in my workshop i have a set of engine bolts for my mb50 i had at 16. Id changed them to stainless ones my dad had.
For interest have a look at bearing codes, there are 2 letters usually at the end of the code which indicate the type of cover the bearing has. With a rubber seal like yours in the picture on one side the code will end RS. If it was sealed on both sides it would be 2RS.
