I commute so my mileage will continue to rise depending which bike I ride. I will be joining the ranks of the retired in 3 years so then the commuting will stop and the leasure miles will rise. Way to go !! - a bike+motorhome combination. Ideal, and an MT-10 SP as well. I have got the SP version as well. Class bike. Messing about in PWR2, because the dealer said that was for normal use, so messed about with that for a bit. Then put it in PWR1 - what a difference !! and got used to that as normal now, but the difference was a bit of a shock at first ! . Smooth fuelling except for the Euro 4 hole at about 5,500 rpm where rapid progress stops for a bit and then takes off again shortly after. A bit weird but that is Euro 4 emissions. Sometimes bimble along, riding along one handed smooth as anything. Versatile seating position, sit up in town, crouch into it a bit for having a go at some twisties, or crouch right down if you want to have a go at maxing it out !. Changed the tyres to M7RRs and put the accessory leavers on, because sometimes the clutch can be a little bit grabby when setting off, so put adjustable leavers on. Thinking of the miles done so far, makes me smile. Loving it.
Thanks Mattie, yes I though the MT10 would go well with the motorhome, I have just sold my VFR1200 coz thats way to heavy. The Hydra trail trailer/rack is rated at max 250 kgs but the mt10 is only 210 kg with a full tank of fuel so well in. I did try the demo bike in PWR1 and suspension in A1, my god does it get off the line, i've never ridden a bike that will launch like that certainly a fun bike, and the missus was quite happy on the back, despite the high pegs. will need to sort a decent seat though, we tried the yam comfort seat which was ok, but at £269 i think there are far better alternatives Melvin Hunter's are cheaper with gel inserts and they are much better made than the Yamaha ones. Cant wait to pick it up
You must be in the North West. Councils round my way are the same. It's worse in April when it's nearly 10 degrees and they're still spreading it round because they have a glut of it they need to use up. Wankers.
They brine the roads here..then the nasty salt goes down once the snow hits and the brine did nothing.
We get the opposite in Norfolk, they only grit the main roads and sometimes don't even do them when sub zero temps are forecast, then we end up with loads of cars in ditches. Cos the stupid cage drivers who keep there cars under cover don't realise the roads could be icy.
Ah willingham woods the best place in uk to get an overpriced cup of tea that tastes like dish water. I too am a work at home and I reckon its harder to get away sometimes than if I worked somewhere and left at regular time
