j have got some old paddock stand but seeing as the new bike has bobbings I was thinking of buying some new ones. My question is has anyone got these aliuminum ones and are they any good?
Hiya Bazz. I started a thread on this some months back. Good info here: https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/paddock-stand-recommendations-please.35165/#post-459253 I ended up buying the silver version of the ones you pictured. Very good stand and easier to use than the under swing arm versions. With bobbins, I can lift the bike onto rear stand without assistance. Very robust and do not wobble when bike is on.
Thanks for that Nigel Mine old ones wobble and they are the under swing arm type The VTR does not have provisions for bobbings to be fitted
what the f*** standard cans looked at the warrior spider but they don`t list it for a 2016 so went for a set of ryde paddock stands in black
Strange you mention that. I purchased it with carbon cans, but I'm a bit of a stickler for originality in most ways. Scored the nice set of originals for 60.00 (ebay) and currently have the carbons listed with no reserve. Should make at least what the originals cost. Also, the carbons were a bit loud for my 'respectable' neighbourhood. Ryde is good. A forum member actually recommended them to me, hence my purchase of both front and rear. Front's a tad difficult to manage with only one person though. (Their delivery is quick, too)
