SP2 was rumored on some websites, I believe, or I may just be confused. I am waiting to see what the new blade offers and I will make my decision then.
I might have missed it but I haven't really been looking. What has been promoted is the 'prospect' of a 200-plus horsepower version as the 'standard' Blade, with a heavy carbonised trim. As with all things secret, we'll both lay low until officialdom makes an announcement! I am wondering though, if they might slip in another 'Marquez Special'?
My mate seems to think a v4 is very likely for next year. I can't imagine why he wants to stick with Honda after the hassle he had with the SP.
The V4 has been all but ruled out, by most accounts. I believe we will see a V4 blade eventually, but not for 2019.
We shall soon see if there is a new model, or upgraded, Fireblade - the EICMA show starts on or around 08 November 2018.
Mmm. You'll recall I was on the new V4 bandwagon for a while. Even I've lost all hope and am now focusing on the soon-to-be-released C125
The new specs call for 214 HP and some enhancements. We shall see once it debuts at the show in November.

Manufacturers tend to start teasing people about 12 months in advance when new bikes are coming out. Not heard a dickiebird from Honda. Nothing at Cologne either. Would be a miracle if they magiced an all new blade out of their backsides in the next 10 days.
In fact, if there isn't a blade making that power, you can come to the US, take my 2018 Panigale V4 S and run it into a bridge abutment. Deal?
I'm good for it, are you? I'll place a small wager, just what's in my wallet right this moment in cash.
Ok. In my wallet is £10. What exactly are we betting on? I don't think honda will be selling in UK dealerships an all new fireblade in 2019. That's all new frame/engine. I do imagine they could revise the SP2 by the way. But I don't think it would be an all new bike.
