I had the issue of a few false neutrals on the CB, i ended up fitting a Gilles shift support and this pretty much stopped it happening straight away, i never used the qs from 1st to 2nd though, only by my choice though to have a bit of mechanical sympathy for the gear box really
Going from 1st to 2nd means passing through neutral and not all Quickshifters are able to do that very well. Some of the cheaper ones will recommend to go from 1st to 2nd manually.
yes but not the dearest, had an hm plus ss on my blade for just over a week, took it off and replaced with a translogic which allows 1st to 2nd changes and is far superior build quality and performance of the hm range
With the Bazzaz you can change the timing on the shifter. So for mine 1st to 2nd has a longer cut out then the other gears. The darn thing feels like a automatic it’s so good.
I have a Plus SS for sale at the moment complete with shift rod for an 08 blade. £300 plus postage. Only selling as I’m also selling my bike. Works great!
Based on your experience with HM SS plus - when switching from the first to the second one is caught by the neutal gear? This is a known problem of all quickshifters
I wouldn’t quickshift between 1st and 2nd gear- too much of a throw between these gears on the 08 blade. Quickshifting from 2nd up though is great and no issues with false neutrals.
