Just seen you had a MV F4, looking at one in Yorkshire, what was your thoughts on them?

Ah, the MV is one of my treasured bikes. It's a 2007 with 7,000 miles. A bit 'tighter' riding position than the Blades and a different power band in that it doesn't have the low end of the Hondas but really get going at 5-6,000. Handles superbly and very similar to the Hondas with perhaps more flickability due to its tighter geometry.

    |There's a bit of a difference between what is known as 1st generation (1997 -2009) and then 2nd generation after the rebirth of mv in 2010. No real known flaws save for some rear hub probs on early models due to over tightening the hub.

I think you might have the same size cleaning kit as do I.:)

The SP2 has to be a keeper. There's a few up for sale and asking 9-plus grand for 30,000 milers!! Yours looks mint - as I would expect.

I've fired off an email about the RSV. Going downstairs now to try to make more space!!:D Cheers!!

Bleedin' heck. Just found out that this RSV is four and a half hours away up north. Now I probably got to swallow my own advice about travelling to get the right bike:(. Or just buy it blind:).

Pick it up??? I just about have to cross the friggin' International Date Line to get there:eek:. Whoever said Great Britain is a small nation?

Anyway, I've arranged a bike transporter to collect. Unfortunately it won't be until next week.:(

Thanks @hitch. It's actually a long story (as with most things involving me:rolleyes:)

If you've kept up with my bikes, you'll recall I bought a red VTR back in August. I was so wrapped in the bike I became disappointed that I didn't go the whole hog and buy an SP1 or 2 (VTR). So, I sold the VTR a few weeks ago with anticipation to snap up a good SP1. Have been trudging through ebay/Auto Trader and made a couple of enquiries. Found a nice silver one for six grand, but wasn't overly keen on silver - as opposed to red or black.

Had still been looking when @Millsp1 dropped the Aprilia in this post. I knew frig all about Aprilias - and aren't much better off now after pouring through forums and all things Aprilia but could tell from the pics (above) that this was a gem. I mean hitch, anyone who cleans UNDER their bike like we do has to be respected:). The bike is a great looker, mint as described, 2 keys, manuals, history of verified mileage etc. After a couple of emails and phone chats I did the deal.

As for where to keep it, I THINK I can compress room inside my home. It's just to precious to leave outside. My only problem will be juggling bikes around to put the Castrol fairings on my 2011 Blade when they arrive!!:D

    Haha.
Well, good luck with it and congrats again.

Also, I must have missed a post regarding the castrol fairings but obviously pictures are mandatory from receipts of boxed item through fitment to completion.

Thanks @hitch. I'd posted under the Chinese Fairings thread and ordered them a week ago.

AND, I secured and purchased this today:
