Not the ideal conditions for a test ride today (and the first roundabout encountered some thoughtful soul had dumped a load of concrete or something all over both lanes! ), but enough to convince me to part with my cash! The sound of that engine OMG!!! Felt really planted and though it feels like you are sat 'on' the bike was surprisingly comfortable. Doesn't feel like it pulls from low revs like the blade, but let it rev and its monstrously quick! Gets delivered on Thursday
@Phil_M , a guy on the aprilia forum has just bought a similar one. Has some pics with SC Project exhaust if you're interested. https://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?347700-First-Aprilia-ever!
Welcome to the club, go on Facebook and join "the aprilia factory" page group buy for exhaust at min. The sc will lose some power
Apparently, the best bike no one buys They look great, sound awesome and are fantastic handling (so I've been told) Enjoy Rob
Now that I have a bit of aprilia bias, I am really not sure what I would do if faced with that decision. Aesthetically, the Ducati has much smoother and cleaner lines whereas the now winged aprilia is somewhat schizophrenic in appearance. Strangely, the only Ducati I have EVER ridden was the 450 desmo back in 1971. It had a distinctive silver metal flake tank (fibreglass as I recall) and was a bitch to crank over - as was my girlfriend of the time.
