Mine was so extreme in the midrange as it had been messed around with before by another tuner previous to my ownership and they’d royally screwed it up. After speaking with Josh at the time of tuning he did say the biggest gain he’d seen in the midrange was 5hp on a blade.
Hello mate, I’m pretty new to all this compared to some people but I have picked up a bit of knowledge from the helpful guys on the Facebook blade forum. They always say the same about it’s not the figures produced from a dyno run but rideability smooth power mid range etc. And they are right. Absolutely no denying that. Like you I’m also after gaining some hp. And beleive me there’s a fair few ways to get it but will cost a bit of money. I have done a fair few other upgrades on my bike but I’m trying to build my dream bike and having high hp is part of that lol.
I am sure I have seen it somewhere that the akro makes about 6hp mid range, I would have one but for the looks, my racefit just looks so much better.
funny how the only people saying bhp don't matter is the people who ride Hondas, fact is u prob don't need more bhp on the road, the blade is a vary good road bike that'll keep up, its down to the rider, get a ecu tune, 170bhp is plenty, if u want transform the bike, get some carbon wheels, acceleration better, braking better, turning better, suspension better
Me to. Nothing special about. My riding skill but yes you would notice the difference. Apparently they turn in faster and because they are so much lighter they also help with acceleration and braking.
I am sure you would. The difference is uncanny with turn in and just a general feel of lightness. My assessment is based not on carbon though, but of the difference between the lightweight forged Marchsinis on my 2018 compared to the OEMs on my 2011. As a point of research, there has been some mention of carbon wheels requiring crack testing every two years. Fable or fact I do not know.
Yeah you don’t have to but some may like to. I’m looking at a full engine build Pistons rods head work and cams etc. I need to talk to someone who has experience so I can buy all the correct parts.
Tbh I probably would like to have them tested for piece of mind but carbon engineering has come a long way. I’ll probably use the carbon wheels for the route’s I know and track but be using the standard wheels majority of the time. I’ll have to long how to tweak the suspension in between wheel changes.
