Hi, I was just wondering what’s the best Quickshifter to fit to my 2009 Blade? I think I’d like to go HM Plant but I’m not wanting to break the bank as I’m Scottish
I have one of the earlier types from HM (HM Plus I think) and I've never had any issues with it. Be warned though, they're very addictive!!
translogic all day long, plug and play,no arseing around with set up,good to go out of the box, there is an option for adjustment but never needed it, can get a tranlogic for £419 from vanguard on ebay, thats cheaper than translogic direct.it took me longer to fit the hm plus ss than it was on my bilke lol
We used to call my Grandad "Cheap John". He was notorious for his frugality. On a visit to the states he would get angry if we tossed the plastic containers that came with take out food.He may have been mental. I believe he took a lot of them back home with him. They're probably still in a cupboard somewhere in Rutherglen.
Translogic 110% Plug and play, it learns your style of riding. Automatically adjusts kill time based on rpm. It’s more friendly to your gearbox with seamless shifting.
Is this what we are talking about above?Very good price https://www.motomummy.com/translogic/translogic-qs4-quickshifter/ Or is it not IS4? The truth is not in the list of my 08 blade... I understand that IS4 is a newer version, right?
I swapped out my HM Plus SS for the Translogic! Best move I've done! HM is excellent for track at certain revs but not for road use! Translogic amazing anywhere! HM cuts all coils at once it's basically just a switch so you set it for a certain revs where as the translogic has a built in ecu that feathers the coils giving a smoother change and is fully adjustable at 5 different places in the rev range! It's a awesome bit of kit
Where it’s progressive with returning the power it actually helps your gearbox longevity. Translogic call it seamless shifting. It’s to mimic the Moto gp boys.
Yeah it's a lot kinder to the gearbox than the HM it really is awesome I got the latest version that doesn't have the option for the external kill time adjuster! You can adjusts in kill time in 2k increments through the rev range by the unit itself ie longer kill time between 3k-5k then shorter between 5k-7k and so on so there is no lurching just a perfect shift
Another vote for translogic. I'm a track slag and it ticks all the boxes. Very smooth. But I have thought about getting the HM shifter for HRC ECU.
I had the Healtech on the 675 and it was fun and you can adjust it on the fly with the phone app. Cheap enough too if you're on a budget.
