Ha, no I've not been scared off. Thank you for your offer

If decent 08's are selling for just over £4k, mine might be in the bracket of £3.5k - £4k?

I am still undecided on what to do as I think about selling and buying a Tuono type bike or do I use it for track?
I have looked at fitting chinese farings but I don't know if I have to patience to do it.

Thanks for all your replies, decisions decisions.....

Let's not go jumping any guns here. Think 'chickens' and 'hatching'.

I need a winter project because all my bikes are so clean there's nothing to do to them:(.

I have been waiting for an inexpensive opportunity to make up a classic Honda Hailwood replica, including the four individual exhausts. I can achieve most of it with a bespoke Chinese fairing kit (now I have the contacts) and then find a reputable shop to fabricate the exhaust system.

I have an acquaintance with a 2016 Tuono and he speaks very highly of it. Sort of a sports bike with more relaxed ergonomics.

Chinese kits are really a matter of taking time - as many on here have said. There's some stress moments around the front cowl/headlight, but in general, it is straight forward.

Would you want my birth certificate with it as well......so you could start annoying Public Records now as well as DVLA, querying whether it should be a M or F

I think you were way off the mark at that price bracket @nigelrb !! I'd be lucky to get that for my mint low mileage HRC 50th anniversary special edition......now that's a mouthful

I think if you really want to sell it 3.5k to 4k would be more realistic, but I'd be knocking you down nearer to 3 as it needs at least 500 spending on it. I would personally be more inclined to repair it properly or just use it as it is. What ever you decide, sell or upgrade.....it's gonna cost you money and all because you've had a little off and it's.......put you off the bike, by the sounds of it! :(

Yep, fair enough Paulo. There's a fine line between trying to help someone compared to thoroughly deflating them with realism.
I agree now that the region I posted would be for a mint condition with no mishaps.;)
