You should always send that sort of mail as 'recorded/to be signed for'. I do it with most things. I have had DWP deny ever receiving mail, only to later admit to 'an oversight' when I produced tracking/receipt/delivery details. So many govt departments and authorities rely on the old, 'cheque's in the mail' line to avoid making decisions or taking action. You might be lucky to now get it sorted this side of Christmas.
Where is the ED bit Mine has been sent off again tracked delivery So fingers crossed I wonder what Lozzy’s Say on it I think it is the same year
There was no covering letter with the V5 they sent back so no explanation for why they didnt show the ED, but (for me) the G was the important bit
This will make Lozzy laugh I have got mine back and they have changed the F for G but still no ED even though it is on the letter from Honda. Bunch of w###### And I am now going to give up
I'm surprised at you giving up so easily Send it back......tell em your taxes pay their wages & you want it done right!!! And they'll probably wipe their arses on it then set it on fire...like your last one that went awol
Oh no @bazzashadow Looks like karma caught up with me for all the ragging I give you Just noticed my rear hugger was wonky & looks like the bolts sheared off from the bracket! Not sure how I'm gonna sort that with my limited skills lol Just going out to test it's wonkiness...if it only moves a bit over a distance I can wait till my man slaves get back after Xmas
You’ll be able (after removing the hugger) to get a pair of mole grips on the threaded section and wind it out. With luck the now stud wont be bound and you’ll be able to just get it out turning with a pair of pliers. Put some plus gas on it to help it first if there is any resistance in turning it. Last option if there’s not enough to get hold of is put a hacksaw cut slot across the top and use a screw driver. Good luck
Good luck with that Lozzy, That looks badly corroded. Spray it with some wd and let it soak over night, spray it again and then try what boothman has said. Then once it is out replace that silly fake hugger for a real one
Cheers guys....it's defo a job for the mechanic then I'm clumsy & no patience so it's got snapped hugger & smashed fingertips written all over it if I have a go. It hasnt moved at all on the ride out but has done a little on the way home...which appears to be the speed bumps on the route I use back, so I'll just avoid them until it's fixed. I'll probably get them to replace the other bolts while they're at it but not my lovely hugger @bazzashadow
I did give up on the subject of my model number until today after all this time I have just received a letter from the dvla stating " I have checked our records and the manufacturer has not issued a three digit model code that we can enter into the system which will show the model of the vehicle as cbr 1000RR-G-ED" "the details will need to stay as they are, unless the manufacturer supplies us with a model code that we can use" so guess what? I have started it again( never give up lozzy) sent a copy of the letter to Honda uk
