Just thinking out loud of what the difference could be and all i can wonder is have you (@Zapada) connected to earth but also stil left the orange/green connected via the harness to all the abs hardware?
The orange/green from the clocks is earthed. The other side of the o/g wire is not connected nowhere. This o/g wire is going on the black plug.
I have no idea then as to why yours doesn’t light at all but @mgoode180566 does the brief illumination at turn on. Maybe its a year thing and there’s slightly different software?
was it illuminating before you earthed the orange / green wire ? was it staying lit ? the initial illumination i expect is only a bulb test in reality
Before earthed the light was on constantly. Do you think since the abs ecu is still plugged thats why i dont have the light come on briefly during initialization?
Exactly Also if anybody is interested i have found why. Highlighted in the first photo. On the second photo it shows that when the bike is switched on the abs is illuminated constantly until the abs ecu says is ok then the light is off. Since we earthed the abs ecu wire the light stays off.
I have the problem that the lever comes to the bar when you are in traffic (low speed ) and when the bike is switch off. The story is long can i contact you directly to speak for this ?
Have a question, my abs light is on i have everything remove that involves abs, ECU is new and not an abs ecu, wiring harnes is a non abs harness so i did tru cutting that orange and green wire but light still on i did ground ir to chasis and still was on do i just have to change my dashboard or is there a way i can turn it off ?
I doubt you need a clocks swap @Alexvaldes31 as this method was confirmed to work by @mgoode180566 in his post...... OK it is all done. I removed the tape from the front loom and found the orange/green wire where it enters the large connector by the radiator. Came back a couple of inches and cut it. Then soldered the clock end to the green ( earth ) wire where it splits to the horn and indicators. Taped the loom up and reconnected. The light now illuminates for about 3 seconds while the systems initialise and then stays extinguishes. Havent ridden it yet but i can imagine all is now resolved. All of the abs system is now gone and with the light out. Many thanks for the help, hope this helps somebody in future. Just a thought but what year is your bike?
