I had a test drive on both the 899 and the 1199 and man, that was awful. They look really great, but the ride was like sitting on a concrete mixer. No fun for me and the other test riders. By chance, I had the opportunity to test drive the Aprilia RSV4 factory and that was a completely different league. I was so impressed that I bought it immediately and I'm still impressed when I ride it (own the RSV4 RF LE now). This is the perfect bike for me. In addition, I never considered Aprilia before, until I had the test drive.
It all depends on the year of production and the country where you can buy the motorcycle. For example: In 2015 the RF Version of the RSV4 was limited to 500 for the European market while the 2016 US Version (was same as the European 2015 version) was limited to 200 units. In 2018 the US market had a limited RF LE (with winglets) to 100 units while Canada got only 25 units and Europe none with winglets. Most of the time "Limited Edition" means the Colour scheme which will be produced only in the year of production. Otherwise, everything is like the non-limited RF Version has. Some differences are between the RR and the RF Version, like forged aluminum wheels etc.
